Tonight's Story, women

 

*💐The Illusion💐* 

As soon as I reached the station, I looked around anxiously because I had a lot of luggage and less than ten minutes left before the train departed, and the platform was quite far.

Just then, I heard a melodious voice, “Which train, sir? Which platform do you need to go to? Come, we will get you there.” I turned around to see two middle-aged women standing with a luggage cart.

“It’s the Bangalore Rajdhani, from platform twelve...but you two won’t be able to get me there because there's very little time left,” I replied a bit curtly.

“Oh, give us a chance, sir. Pay us only when you’re seated on the train.”

For some reason, I nodded in agreement and began loading my luggage onto their cart with their help. The women started pulling the cart swiftly. I was astonished by their speed, as I almost had to run to keep up with them. They managed to get me to the train on time. When I started to pay them, one of the women said,

“Son, never tell another woman that she can’t do something. People hesitate to give us work because they think we can't handle heavy tasks. But if we set our minds to it, nothing is impossible for us. Our children abandoned us. Isn’t it better to earn our living through hard work than to beg?”

I felt ashamed of my gender biased attitude. I had forgotten that while women might be physically weaker than men, they are mentally far stronger. Today, stepping out of my self-made illusion, I felt a sense of inner joy.

Friends, in India, the enrollment of girls in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics has reached 43 percent. Women in our country have reached the moon, are flying fighter planes, winning medals in the Olympics, running major companies, or leading the nation as presidents. Whether in the medical field, sports, business, or political activities, the participation of women in India has not only increased, but they are also coming forward to lead in every sector. This is all a result of our positive attitude and belief in women empowerment.

*Who have life in their dreams,*

*Wings are not needed to fly, but courage is…*

*We float like fragrance from flowers,*

*We soar like smoke from mountains,*

*What can stop us in this world,*

*We fly with courage, not wings…*

We are talking about the strength of women's power. Yes, women are now stepping forward in every field. Today’s woman is awakened and active.
