State Interference and Economic Systems:
Locke's advocacy for minimal state interference aligns with the concept of a laissez-faire state, where the government plays a limited role in economic matters, allowing free market forces to operate. However, India follows a mixed economy model, where the state actively intervenes in economic and social matters to balance individual freedoms with collective welfare. This means that while Locke’s ideas about life and liberty are still relevant in India, his principle of minimal state interference, particularly regarding property, is not entirely applicable.
