Churn the ocean your inner self

 The gods and demons began to churn the ocean to obtain Amrit (nectar).

Mount Mandarachal was used as the churning rod and the serpent Vasuki as the rope.

The world is like an ocean. Churn your life just as the ocean was churned; the churning of the ocean symbolizes the churning of one's life.

By churning the ocean of the world and drinking the nectar of knowledge and devotion, one becomes immortal.

The mind is like Mount Mandarachal, and the thread of love is like the serpent Vasuki. Stabilize your mind just as Mount Mandarachal was stabilized.

When Mount Mandarachal started to sink into the ocean, the Lord took the form of a tortoise (Kurma avatar) and held it on His back. The mind, like Mount Mandarachal, does not remain stable without a foundation. It needs the support of the divine name and form of the Lord. With such a foundation, you will not sink into the ocean.

While churning the ocean, poison emerged first.

When you stabilize your mind and follow the Lord, you will encounter poison (troubles) first. After enduring it, you will receive nectar. Great people have endured the poison of hardships and sorrows, hence they attained the nectar of knowledge.
