The Balkan Peninsula is the easternmost of Europe's three major southern peninsulas. The Balkan region is made up of the following states:

Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia.
